Kitzhaber pushes timber case to Supreme Court

Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber announced Monday that he'll ask the U.S. Supreme Court to weigh in on a lower court ruling requiring Clean Water Act permits on active logging roads. As the Associate Press reports, the case pits timber owners against environment groups including the Northwest Environmental Defense Center, which filed the original lawsuit seeking more logging road oversight.
