Manning named Portland housing boss

Portland Business Journal:

A homeless services advocate will become Portland’s new housing bureau director.

Traci Manning, chief operating officer of the Central City Concern social services nonprofit, will replace Margaret Van Vliet, who left to take a top state housing job with Gov. John Kitzhaber. Portland City Commissioner Nick Fish, who oversees the bureau, praised Manning’s experience in housing and community development, management expertise and commitment to developing the housing department.
