Voter turnout brisk in Cornilles, Bonamici race

Elections officials report that voter turnout, or at least the mailed-ballot collections, has been brisk for Tuesday’s First District special congressional race.

Voters are deciding between Democrat Suzanne Bonamici and Republican Rob Cornilles in an election to replace Rep. David Wu. Wu resigned last year after several allegations of improper conduct. National party groups have collectively spent millions in hopes of capturing the seat.
