    I must say that I am deliriously happy with these results. I particularly appreciate that the voters did not make the same mistake of picking an inexperienced question mark in District 4 following up on the disaster that was Derry Jackson.

    Oh yeah and I'm glad Doreen won the PCC race too.

    In Washington county the voter turnout was 13%. This means that only one in eight registered voters cared enough about our public schools and about how a large percentage of our tax dollars is spent, to cast a ballot. What is wrong, people?

    Measure 14-23, more or less a flouride ban, was approved by Hood River voters by a 890 to 680 margin.

    According to the Red folks, a bunch of tax increases went down, including Florence's gas tax and Springfield's cell-phone tax. A couple ones passed, including one in St. Paul.
