Last day to make Wyden pay
In 2006, Democrats are hoping to take back the United States Senate. As Democratic Leader Harry Reid wrote recently,
The 2006 mid-term elections will be our next opportunity to change the environment of corruption and incompetence in Washington. We simply must take back the Senate so we can change the direction in which our country is heading.
So, here's the deal. Apparently, Senator Ron Wyden has agreed to personally match every dollar donated to the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee. If you give $50, he'll match it with his own $50. If you give $100, he'll match it with his own $100. Today's the deadline.
Learn more about it here. If you decide to make Wyden pay, leave a comment and tell us how much you donated.

Gave $200. Thank you, Senator Wyden! (But please don't do something like CAFTA or considering abolishing the estate tax ever again.)

With all the money that Wyden just married into, is that the best he can do, or does he only have Kerry-like access to his new wife's millions?

Gordie, he'll do as much as we make him do. Also, I think it's a "well, duh!" that he'll give what he can. (Remember that, personally, he's bound by the same contribution limits that all other citizens are.)
