YES, YES, YES, you all Know we all deserve more than Ron Saxton will ever give us, and We all know Ted will always fight for all that we deserve. So get down to the Democratic Party of Oregon Head quarters and volunteer. Torrid Joe, Kari Chisholm, and Jenny Greenleaf are here. Where are you?

We've got our regular volunteers, leaders from several local blogs, and our blogging DNC Committeewoman, and we'd love to have some more callers on the lines tonight. Yesterday, women's night was so popular we had to overflow to CubeSpace, a friendly local business that has generously donated phone lines to support the cause. It was so popular that we scheduled another women's night. Will there be another bloggers' night?

It's up to you. Come on down to 232 NE 9th Ave to make a difference.

A new independent poll out today- Good new! Kulongoski 47% and Saxton 36%. No traction for Saxton! It's Riley and Associates. I'm not a fan of them but I'll take it. Biggest move is with the Independents, moving to Kulongoski, and Saxton losing some of his base. http://www.kgw.com/news-local/stories/kgw_102506_news_gov_race_poll_.74398a9c.html

Below is a letter I sent to the Big O yesterday. In case they don't print it, at least some Progressives might be interested:

    Oregonian,

In this crucial election, know that neo-cons like Ron Saxton represent only the wealthiest 1-2%. Saxton and his extreme allied legislative candidates symbolize the cronyism and corrupt policies of the federal regime. Don't allow them to repeat those failed policies in Oregon.

The corporatists backing Saxton are the same scandalous gang behind the disastrous measures 41 and 48. That "greed bunch" is intent on profiteering by privatizing government services. Saxton marches lockstep with CheneyBushCo on the discredited invasion and occupation of Iraq. It's time to terminate the politics of fear at the national and local levels.

This election's watch-phrase is: GOYA - Get Off Your Apathy. Voting and volunteerism are winning formulas for Governor Ted Kulongoski, http://tedforgov.com/ and other Progressive candidates. Thanks for anything you can do to Get-Out-The-Vote. Your efforts will bring a Progressive future for Oregon.

Hey everybody.... just got back from a great night phoning. I made 119 calls, talked to about 22 people. All but one was gung-ho about voting for Ted Kulongoski. Seriously, they were excited. Things like "Oh yes! Definitely! There are three of us in this house voting for Ted!"

Had a good time, ate some pizza, and chatted (briefly) with 5 or 6 folks besides the bloggers I already knew. At least four of them told me that Netroots Night is what got 'em down tonight.

You must have kicked it in gear those last two hours, Kari--because all I saw you do was eat pizza and greet fawning well-wishers, while I slaved over a hot phone next to you, trying to talk over all the love. :)

But I heard the same enthusiasm, mostly. I only heard one person sound conflicted about Ted; everyone else was ready to dance with the one that brung 'em.

<h2>I had fun; if someone bought me a scooter or agreed to chauffeur me everywhere I might get back out there for more!</h2>
