Survivor: Bloggers' Island

Inspired by a blog post here, I would like to know who BlueOregon readers would like to vote off our "Island".
Please just enter your vote in the comment section. We can all keep a running tab of who the winner is.
Feel free to vote early and vote often.

Actually, Kari, the common thread between the candidates is not radio or, for that matter, their "politics".

I vote for Bill O'Reilly.

My vote would be for Don Imus, but I've never seen him mentioned on this site anyway.

Wow Randy--quick to list everyone else---ever thought about putting your own name out there? There might be more people wanting to vote you off the island than you think---

That's an easy one...
If I was on an island with Jack "Bog" Bogdanski, Lars Larson, Michael Savage, Bill O'Reilly and Don Imus as my only company, and I could only vote off one person, I would vote myself off the island.
Posted by: Paul | Apr 17, 2007 8:23:16 AM
Imus is gone the rest are fine.
The island where Thom Hartman and Randi Rhodes hang out with their IED shows is another story. They aren't very nice.

O'Reilly and Savage have proven themselves hatemongers and those who listen to them biggots. Pure and simple. The irony of the Imus situation is that these other idiots have far worse hate speech and they are still on the air.
Lars is small potatos. He is a failed newsman and would only be left on this "island" for laughing value only.
Neal Bortz should be on this list because he is the worst of all.
Thom Hartman not nice? This man is about as nice as they come. Paul is intimidated by Randi Rhodes because she is a smart woman. Don't worry Paul, it is not the size of your penis, but how you use it that counts. (mumble, mumble... not!)

I like the idea of a blogger vote-off, and since Jack is so antagonistic and personal about his assaults on Portland figures, he'd definitely qualify for the list. But then who else would you add? Mostly Oregon bloggers are pretty cool. Even the righties are good blog citizens.
You know what would be more interesting?--who to vote off the BlueOregon troll roll. There's a vote I could support.

From a distance - the second hottest local economy in "the country" - Jack's alright. Probably because we out here on the high desert tend to think. Drop the rest of them in Sadr City.

Hmmmm... We have five names. Four are notorious mainstream media figures (Lars is the only one who isn't national) and fifth is a local blogger with an acid keyboard who has skewered Mr. Leonard more than a few times lately, and who just invented the concept over at his blog.
Let me guess who Randy Leonard wants us to vote off this island ...

Slow day at the office Randy?
Let's hope the "Strong Mayor" initiative fails or we'll be seeing more pointless posts from the commissioner with even more time on his hands.

I think would keep Lars just so we had someone to laugh at, I would get rid of Michael Savage.

Billo

He can't swim.
He can't spawn.
Ladies and gentlemen, the clear winner is... Lars Larson!
Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle...

Lars is the only one who isn't national
Actually, he is. I think he is on again here right after Savage.
And someone is honestly putting O'Reilly in the same category as Savage?
I dont get that one.

I'm with Pat Malach.

Lumping Jack Bogdanski with Bill O'Reilly, Lars Larson, and Michael Savage? Wow, he must have really gotten under your skin.
And: "who BlueOregon readers would like to vote off our "Island".(sic) Our island? Didn't realize this was such an exclusive club.

Maybe you should go to that island where you put Vera out to pasture. You can come back and visit with Vera when she calls Mr Adams to give him marching orders.
Seriously, I hope you don't leave, I always find your global viewpoint so entertaining and entirely out of touch with running a city for the taxpayers who pay your salary.

Slow day at the office Randy?
For the record, Randy posted this at roughly 11 p.m. That's about the usual time of day for his posts.
Our island? Didn't realize this was such an exclusive club.
It's not. We let you in! (Natch!)

Leave the bait alone, Randy. Besides, your place on that other island looks pretty secure…

Great job at the Novick announcement today, Randy.
I must, however, take issue with any list that omits Alexandria, Virginia's latest contribution to the Oregon political blogosphere, Democrats for Smith. They win my enthusiastic write-in.

Even though, at more than 2,500 miles away, they're kind of off the island already.
Posted by: Randy Leonard | Apr 18, 2007 6:51:24 PM
Thanks, Charlie. Your write in suggestion definitely is appropriate.

This little exercise may be just for fun, but it also demonstrates the socialist code of conduct that is infiltrating the agendas of many in elected office, and can be viewed as a form of harassment or even discrimination. Questions come to mind that include: Is this what we pay our elected officials to do? Was this thought train and post made during business hours on the public’s dime and time, from the Randy’s City Hall office and on a City of Portland owned computer? Does Randy truly believe in free speech? Does Randy believe in diversity? Or does Randy believe that elected officials have free reign to sanction ordinances and use the tax codes to enact social engineering policies that exercise control over the public’s lifestyle, housing and mobility choices? Anybody that agrees with the concepts in the last question gets my vote to leave the island.

I'm not sure I get it.
Don Imus is already "off the island".
Jack Bogdanski isn't a radio guy - and isn't a right-wing wacko like Larson, O'Reilly, and Savage.
