  Wow! This certainly exposes Gordon Smith's true feelings. The Repbulicans are good at spin, but there is no way Lott's words could have been misconstrued. I'm sure they will continue to try to spin it, but this will be a difficult one from which to escape.

  • thinks women can't be trusted with a choice
  • wants to punch oil wells in the Alaskan wilderness
  • thinks $1,250,000 is a good price for golf clubs

  Sure, Smith may be "moderate" compared to Bush and Cheney. But that's like saying Katrina was no big deal compared to Bhopal and Chernobyl.
