To Matt Lindland: A dedication

Carla Axtman

Yes, I'm a spelling-bee girl.

(That's not to say I don't typo sometimes, but I generally try to get the spelling right)

Thus I dedicate this song to GOP House candidate Matt Lindland, who needs to hire one badly. This walk piece is a spelling disaster. (warning PDF)

That band is Man Bites God, btw. And I believe that video is the Oregon coast.

While you're here you could give Suzanne Van Orman some love to help her beat this guy.

For those that don't want to open a PDF:

* Received his associates degree at Clackamas Community College and transferred to the University of Nebraska where he became a nationally renowned colegiate wrestler and represented the United States of America at the 2000 Olympic Games in Syndey, Australia, where he won a Silver Medal

* Involved in a legal challenge that made its way to the U.S. Curcuit Court of Appeals where he was victorious and earned the ring moniker "The Law."

I've seen one typo before in a walk piece, but three in that small of a space is just plain careless.

With all that money Lindland is paying to Image Communications (aka Ted Piccolo), you'd think they'd at least have a spellchecker handy. Sheesh.

Oh my goodness, is he actually PLAYING UP the whole "I sued for my spot on the Olympic team" thing???

Losing a wresting match and then suing the guy you lost to is NOT a bullet point for your campaign literature. Not to mention, he plays it off as if he argued the case or something.

Maybe a better bullet point would be "I hired a lawyer once."

Seems like a really cheap walk piece. I must say my favorite walk piece from the State candidates has to be Tobias Read's.

    I figured it out.

Matt Lindland isn't running because he wants to be an Oregon Rep. He's running to help his fighting career. If he wins the election, then he has an awesome promotional angle for his fights. If he loses, he's no worse off.
