I am so excited about the probable election of Obama & having a democratic majority. That has certaily been tempered by the spectacle of Merkley trying to climb to office on the backs of undocumented workers. Let's hear about some amnesty, repeal of NAFTA, and standing up for the rights of ALL working people. The current pogrom of undocumented workers in Oregon typified by the current drivers license bill has plenty of steam without ambitious 'populist' Democrats climbing upon the zenophobic, racist bandwagon.
