Smith/Merkley Debate #2
Here's the second debate between Jeff Merkley and Gordon Smith:
The third (and final) debate will be held on October 17th at the Portland City Club. Since Gordon Smith has declined to appear, Jeff Merkley will appear alone, debating an empty podium.

Well, it's an interesting question as to WHO is responsible. It was organized and broadcast by KOBI. Did they restrict the broadcast by other local stations in other parts of the state? Or did other local stations simply choose not to air it?
Note that it's going to be rebroadcast statewide on OPB.

Probably not much net effect on the race given the very limited audience.

Support Jeff Merkley in 2 unscientific polls that can get him some great radio exposure

Backbeat, here here. Of all the criminal acts of manipuation the GOP pulls, turning the noun "Democrat" into an adjective chafes the most. Man that pisses me off.
Incidentally, if you want to watch it on a bigger screen, the debate will be rebroadcast on OPB Thursday at 9pm.

Anyone see it?
Anyone?
Bueller?
What a farce, this news coverage. I can't believe that this wasn't broadcast statewide. We should revoke their license.
