After reading the things-to-do list for the April 15th conservative's anti-tax tea parties "spontaneous" protest against taxes complete with a press kit, suggested phrases to put on cardboard signs, and how to contact the media it is clear the Party of Nope is scatching in the dirt for anything that might work to rally their demoralized GOP party members. Artificial outrage, you bet!
The tax rate on the top income earners will be raised under the Obama plan which interestingly is about ten percentage points less than when Reagan was president. However, the squawking GOP parrots will swoop into their fake spontaneous tea parties to express their outrage over taxes even though it will not affect 99.9% of those attending the rallies. In fact, most of the attendees have already been notified about the reduction of their tax rates which in simple terms is a lower tax rate!
Now about the "new" GOP buzzword socialism. In the recent Rasmussen poll released last Thursday one in four respondents weren't sure if capitalism or socialism is the superior system. Only 53% of American adults believe capitalism is better than socialism in the poll. But do American's even know what the terms mean? Pitting two words with multiple meanings and complex applications is the perfect tool to exploit and manipulate most people unaware of the deep faults in both systems.
Putting society first rather than capital or capital first before society isn't the question anymore, the question is, how to better blend the best of both to move our country forward.
Off to watch Fox News to enjoy the coverage of the spontaneous tea parties! Your thoughts.
