OR-1: AFL-CIO debate on Tuesday, streaming live on BlueOregon
Kari Chisholm
A scheduling note:
At 10 a.m., the three major candidates (Brad Avakian, Suzanne Bonamici, and Brad Witt) for the Democratic nomination for the 1st congressional district will be holding a debate at the Oregon AFL-CIO convention.
That debate, which will last one hour, will be streamed live here at BlueOregon.
I've been told that the debate will include questions from union leaders about specific job sectors; questions about the candidates' individual records; and questions directly from delegates. Expect most of the questions to be about economic issues, collective bargaining, trade, education, and job creation.
The candidates won't be doing introductory statements, but will make concluding remarks.
(And yes, at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Multnomah County commissioners will be conducting a public hearing to appoint a legislator to replace Rep. Ben Cannon in HD-46. Big day!)

Full disclosure: My firm built Brad Avakian's campaign website. I speak only for myself.

For those who want to watch the latter - the HD 46 appointment: here's the link.
Apparently a button will appear at 10 am that says "watch the meeting" by the Special Meeting line.

I captured one question on video. See my blog post "Bonamici wins trade policy debate."
