This article implies that the resolution is coming from the party leadership which it is not. It is coming from one PCP. And since a resolution from the floor requires a suspension from the rules to consider (normally our resolutions take place over a two month period -- vetted by the Platform and Resolution Committee, presented for first reading at one month's central committee meeting and voted on the next month after a second reading), it will require a 2/3rds aye vote on the motion to suspend the rules to even consider the resolution. And remember that only PCPs (precinct committeepersons) can vote on either the rules suspension or the resolution itelf. Further, there will be no debate or amendments possible on the motion to suspend the rules. I hope this clarifies matters.
