Mayor Adams frets about security costs for planned GOP presidential debate in Portland

Portland Mayor Sam Adams wasn't happy to learn that Republicans are planning to hold a presidential primary debate in Portland in March because of the city's costs of providing security. He said the city is already $1.5 million over budget in police overtime costs, largely because of the Occupy Portland protests.

    Mayor Adams isn't getting nearly as much as the editors of the O, judging by today's screed in Section B.

    I think they were planning on a bunch of ads or getting themselves on TV or something.
